summer sunset no.1

A few evenings ago there was a beautiful sunset, and I could not resist the temptation to capture it. All of these images are my own un-edited, and I used my Cannon EOS 700D, on the auto (no flash) mode.

I particularly like that in every photograph there are a range of colours and details, making each one unique. However, I wish the colours looked as pretty in the images as they did in real life.

One thing I struggle with, when taking photos of landscapes, is making sure the image is straight. In the image below this worked well, but it does take quiet a lot of tries for me to get it right. This is definitely something that I can work on.

On the other hand, sometimes a wonky or slightly diagonal horizon is needed to create a more distinctive, fascinating look.

The three above photographs would have to be my favourite from the shoot. The outcome is exactly as I had wished it to be, and the lighting has created a slight mystical, story-like feel.

I'm happy with how this shoot went, and I really enjoyed taking pictures while the sun was setting. Next time there is a sunset I would like to explore more different portrait ideas.

Thank you for having a look at these, and I will try to post more photographs from another shoot soon.
