Since the weather is still lovely me and my family went to the beach the other night, and I managed to capture some sunset pictures that I am quite happy with.
I love taking photographs at the beach as you never know what to expect. After I had taken the first picture, the rest just seemed to come naturally. This happens to me a lot. I don't quite know what to do, so I just take one photo, then the rest will follow.
I have edited these slightly, and I'm pleased with the outcome. I don't always like to edit my photographs, but I felt like these needed a bit of something.
Out of all the photographs I love the bottom one most. I like the interesting combination of colours as well as the unique lighting, making it hard to tell exactly what time of day it is. The contrast also helps to make this stand out, which is something that I like.
The first picture is another one of my favourites. The composition, layout and detail makes it look more fascinating. Another thing I like is that this uses a lot of colour.
The pictures that I most enjoyed taking were the ones of my family jumping. I love the slightly messy look and that you have to be very precise with when you take the picture. With a couple of the ones I've shown on here I decided to try completely random angles, giving a more unique and creative outcome.
Recently I've been trying to improve my landscapes a bit, as they're not something I have always been that great at. I find it hard making the image straight and capturing all the right things in the one scene. However, usually I will end up with something that I'm really happy with. There are some on here that I would have liked to have taken a it better, then others such as the second image that worked really well. The more I take, the better I will get, and I'm sure that Summer will provide lots of opportunities for me to practice.
